Remove the reimbursement burden for OON patients

“Float simplifies my clients' experience...it takes away the hassle of dealing with insurance and enables my patients to get the support they need to focus on their care. ”

— Alex, LMFT (NY)
The patient only pays their portion, ever

Float covers the full cost of the visit upfront and gets reimbursed by both the patient and the payer.

Float works with insurance

Float handles all of the reimbursement filing behind the scenes. The patient and the clinician can forget insurance exists.

Patient responsibility is clear

After each session, Float sends the patient the bill, which breaks down the patient responsibility and the estimated insurance coverage. If the insurance estimate is off, Float covers the difference.

Get your full fee

Float pays you your full fee upfront—claims approved, claims denied—no matter what.

Receive payment in 2 days

We process invoices daily, so most clinicians receive their full payment within 2 days.

100% free for clinicians to use

One less business expense is always a win—we get it.

No extra platforms

We integrate seamlessly with the most common EHR so once you’ve set it up, you’re all set—there’s no additional workflow or platform to manage.

More secure cash flow without extra costs or extra work.

“I’ve been able to increase my rate and decrease my workload with Float at the helm... I 100% would recommend Float to colleagues.”

— Joanne, LMHC (NY)

How it works

For patients:

Patients set up a Float account by entering their insurance and payment information.

After a session, patients get their invoice over email and via their Float account. On the invoice, they'll see their responsibility and the estimated portion insurance covers.

The OON patient gets to choose how to pay, from 3 options: Full, Half or Free.

No stamps or faxes, no reimbursements tracking, no claims or disputes—thats it!

For clinicians:

Set up a Float account, which syncs with your preferred bank account and allows insurers to deposit payments.

After a session, upload your invoice or superbill to float, or let float create one automatically by syncing with your EHR.

Float pays you your full fee for each session at the end of every day. Clinicians usually receive payment within 2 days

Float sends an invoice to your patients that shows their covered amount and bills them only the part of the payment they are responsible for.

Float files the claim with insurance, monitors and follows up, and receives the reimbursement—without any need for clinician or patient involvement.

The flexibility to support every patient

We've built in 3 fee tiers for out-of-network clients to choose from with every bill, to accommodate every client.

Full Float  —  $2-$18 per claim

We’ll do it all: front your full fee, file the patient’s claim and manage the reimbursement process from start to finish. Patients only pay their portion of your fee. If our estimates are off, we’ll cover the difference. Fee is calculated based on patient responsibility; average patient fee is $10.

File  —  $3 per claim

The client pays the full fee upfront, and Float files the claim for them.

Free!

The client can use Float’s invoicing and online payment system for free, and handle the upfront payment and reimbursement process on their own.
